West Valley College's current Appraisal courses satisfy most of the educational requirements needed to obtain a Real Estate Appraiser's license in California. However, the California Office of Real Estate Appraisal (OREA) is in the midst of substantially revising the educational requirements required to obtain an Appraiser's license in California. These new educational requirements will become effective as of January 1, 2008. Accordingly, West Valley College will be revising its Appraisal curriculum to meet these new requirements effective as of January 1, 2008. Until January 1, 2008, West Valley College's current Appraisal offerings still satisfy the OREA education requirements for an Appraiser's license.
